Quinta Corcunda is a picturesque Portuguese holiday farm in the Eastern Algarve, near the village of Moncarapacho and Fuseta Beach. Our small-scale quinta is in a rustic location on a large piece of land at the foot of the Ondas hill. In the authentic Portuguese hinterland you will stay in one of the six completely unique and tasteful holiday accommodations. At the outdoor pool with a large terrace and a long dining table you will find sun loungers, nice seats and an honesty bar. A paradise for families, couples and winter visitors who love relaxation and freedom in a pleasant environment.
Charming estate in nature
The quiet estate is surrounded by no less than four hectares of land with olive trees, orange, fig and carob trees. Our extensive grounds are tucked away in a rural location with very little traffic. The gate of the quinta is at the end of an unpaved path and yet the location is anything but remote. Several access roads are just around the corner and within 5 minutes you are in the center of Moncarapacho and on the highway.
Atmospheric overnight stay
In the former farmhouse of Quinta Corcunda there are four holiday homes, each with its own entrance and surrounded by a beautiful garden. Each residence privacy, beautiful views and they are different in terms of layout. We attach great importance to quality and coziness and have reflected this in the interior. Homely and colorful with a complete kitchen, TV, WIFI, modern bathrooms and good mattresses. Many original details dating back to the year 1900 have been preserved. This has created a nice mix between originality, atmosphere and comfort. The two glamping accommodations are detached on the estate and both have their own little privat swimming pool.
Soon fiber internet instead of airfiber internet. Even better!

We are Marga and Rob and have been running our quinta since 2011 with great pleasure and from our hearts. Our guest is king with us and we find it important to create a personal and warm atmosphere. We guarantee peace and want everyone to have an unforgettable time on the quinta. Of course we respect the complete privacy of our guests, but are always close by if you need us. We live in one of the accommodations on the former farmhouse. We also like to think along about a nice trip, a visit to a market or a good restaurant. Upon arrival we will prepare a bottle of wine for you and we can make sure that your fridge is stocked if you arrive late on the first day of your holiday because we have a grocery shop service.
Our location
A big plus of our quinta is the central but quiet location. For example, it is only five minutes by car to the villages of Moncarapacho and St. Catarina with all imaginable amenities such as a supermarket, a pharmacy, an ATM, a petrol station and several nice restaurants.
Lively towns such as Tavira, Olhão and Faro are easily accessible and are a short drive from Quinta Corcunda. You will find all kinds of shops, terraces and markets there to stroll over. An additional advantage is the location of Faro airport, which is only 20 kilometers away.
Who we are
We are Rob Derks and Marga van Schendel. In August 2007 we moved to the Algarve together. In the Netherlands we enjoyed living in Amsterdam where we ran a bed & breakfast on a beautiful houseboat.
Rob then worked in construction, among other things, and he continued that work in the Algarve. Marga was a communication trainer and teacher in various business and service professions.
Since the moment we emigrated, we still fully enjoy the Algarve, the friendly people and life with the guests on our quinta. Hospitality is of paramount importance to us, but we also respect everyone’s privacy. Our guests have all the space and freedom on the estate and we are nearby if you need us. If there is anything we can support you with, we will of course be happy to do so. We also live at Quinta Corcunda with our sweet boxer Tess. Tess is a calm people dog but does not run loose on the estate.
